My Own Version of Stage 1
Evening,
So I've just completed my "little weekend project" (and its only Friday, must find more fun stuff
), and thought I share.
*Installed the boost pill upgrade
*Installed the Evo IX BOV (FYI, tid bit no one mentions, the bleeder valve is 120* counter-clockwise, making the tubing a little tight)
*Installed a Perrin Oil Catch Can
*Re-tuned to Bryan's Upgraded Boost Pill V2
Took her for a quick jaunt (class in the am, such is the life of a working adult, haha!) and wanted to bestow my initial impressions.
First off, DAMN>>>>>>>>>>
Everything is so much smoother, from the larger torque curve (nice platue from 3.5-5.5K Bryan) to the tranny shifts (BTW I now see the over-rev everyone's been talking about. no biggie just get it re-tuned, thanks for the awesome work on getting everyone started GST!!)
Some sexynesssssss

Thanks,
Steve

Oh yeah one more thing, for the install of the catch can I couldn't find anywhere to "mount" it that wasnt directly next to the turbo. We have a super compact engine bay (relative to scoobies which can almost fit you in with the motor, haha!), and tried but ended-up wedging it between the battary and the frame. That shouldnt cause any problems right??

No, I think its actually more quiet. The stock one leaks and thats the hiss we hear. But it does seem to hold boost better, dont have empirical evidence until I install my GFB EBC (w/ a scrambler button, watch out, haha!)
