Not sometime soon, i use my car as a daily driver and the only thing i did to it was add a navigation unit to replace the stock radio and a sub. I also have a blow off valve hks. I might get new rims when i replace the stock tires, thats about it. I'm tempted to go with an injen cold air intake and intercooler pipe but because i dont want to void my warranty it wont be anytime soon.

Canadia got some all season Dunlops stock. USDM models got POS summer advans...:crap:

^If those all season Dunlops are the same as the one's they put on the 08 Lancers, then I would say the summer advans are much better.

the summer advans are better for well... summer.

My dunlops are the 5000m M+S which are all seasons, but rated for mud and snow.

They might actually be decent for a winter, well see.

Seriously, Secondchace, get some winters now before they are gone. I live in the sunny Okanagan, u probably know how bad our winters are here and it was NUTS getting home from work after our 1st snowfall. Check out the Tirerack winter ratings on the stock Dunlops, not really good.

i have winter tires lol... i have michelin x ice i took off my mazda 6 speed last winter, same 215 45 18 sizing.

i live in calgary, your winters are peanuts compared to here... no worries :)

if you look, he has an hks bov and an intake... modding has started.

Thats good u got winters already. If the dunlops suck that bad in an Okanagan winter I couldn't imagine using them in Calgary.

It's not much but... Hey it's a rotorglow RA right? Lol I plan on doing the ring soon, and when I lower the car I'm gonna powdercoat the wheels black w/ the mitsu sign in the center being Rotorglow.

My Rotor Glow. I plan on getting new wheels after I bald up my stock Yokohamas.

i spotted a rotor glow orange in harrisonburg va this weekend in the baseball lot at jmu..... wondering if its a member on here

^^^that always happens to me every time i see a ra or an evo on the street. i saw a wingless rotorglow, lowered with black rims and a very obnoxiously loud exhaust racing in the town i bought my ra from. it was super sweet

i was at a red light when it came blasting by on the opposing lane so i couldn't really tell, but more than likely it could be the same one. i suppose as with any lancer any of us see on the street, i tried to look to see what kind of lancer it was and for the subtle or not so subtle clues of any aftermarket parts. speaking of unfamiliar lancers on the street, you passed me in your pb in stockton about a month or so ago. looked very clean compared to my dirty gg. again, i was rapidly trying to see any signs of aftermarket parts before i lost sight of it.

Seibon CF hood and 8 x 18" Five AD wheels with 225 tires.

black out the chrome.
Get a black lip.
get a CF spoiler from seibon.
Powder coat the gas cap in black.
Drop it down about an inch.


Good start with the hood tho.

hear my though with Carbon Fiber stuff. You either go carbon all arond lip,hood,trunk interior etc. or go lightly all around eg. hood scoop, hood vents, front lip, cf rear side skirt patches.

Those are some wicked rims RalliArtG3rl! I agree with what RA Glows says, keep at it and that will look amazing!

Thanks for the suggestions RA Glows I havent thought about fuel door, but now that you mention it, it would stand out alot when all the other crome is gone. Thanks for the comment Ice, it took me along time to find some that i really liked at a reasonable price. I wanted to get the Ralliart R04 wheels but they are WAY to expensive. I stumbled on these wheels at a scion dealership and pretty much fell in love. The guys at the dealership were trying to sell me a car and i told em i just want the wheels and the smile on their faces slowly faded away. Im gonna use photoshop and implement your suggestions to see the possible outcome.

What is the weight difference between it and the stock hood?

Correct me if im wrong, but i thik the sock hood weighs 15lbs and the seibon cf hood weighs 8lbs. Thats not why i got it though, there was a huge dent put it the stock one, so i thought what the hell i guess ill get a cf hood. I like the CF look, so im not going to paint it. Id rather focus on performance than looks, so right now it does look a bit unfinished.

Heres a pic of my ralliart right at the dealer when i picked it up.

There all photoshopped for effects but the other ones i photoshopped it into an evo just for fun, dont worry im not planning to stick some evolution stickers on it.

Other pic is my ralliart and my buddies ralliart, with a photoshopped carbon fiber hood, again all just for fun, its cool to change the colours too.

^I think your pics would look better if they didn't have those photoshop filters on :). Too much processing...

New wheels & tires.

Konig Zero-In 18x8 45 offset and Hankook Ventus V12 235/40/18. Tires are quite sticky and response to input is immediate... big difference in handling.

damn looks good. are they just silver? i have rg and was thinking black rims but that looks good.

They're painted black with a machined face. They have a red bead behind the spokes, it really didn't work with the rotor glow so I made it go away with a permanent black marker :D

thanks.first on the list is tint, then eibach pro kit,UR cat-back,black rims(not sure which yet).no engine mods yet since its a daily driver and cant afford to lose warrenty.

Hey guys, I dont have a RG, but saw these rims and thought of you guys. They also have a silver, which I think is a little cooler but either way, would look good on your RAs

I love the Cr-Kai, my 2nd fav rim. I was gonna get myself a set of them but didn't want to go thru the hassle of messing with 9.5's and the 8.5's weren't concave enough for me.

just a random question for RA owners, instead of making a whole new thread. can you run a Ralliart on 89 octane

^No, unless you want to damage the engine. You can somwhat get away with midgrade but it is not recomended.

Finally I can make my contribution!

Short story...car ordered Dec. 1st 2009, waited almost 6 months for it (I guess Finland is somewhere really really low on the waiting list). There are four others in my town so far, so I won't run into one very soon.

Comments: love the appearance, weirdly though, even if this is a feb 2010 build it does _not_ have the colour display in the gauge cluster :( Other 2010 enhancements are there though...I don't know why, I'd really like that newer screen. I didn't know that the car has to use 98 octane (in European numbers) fuel, so this means I have to pay a nice 1.519 euros / litre (approx $1.928/litre or $7.3/us. gallon!)..ouch


Upcoming mods...firstly the yokohamas are flying off tomorrow, to be replaced by Nokian Z 225/40:s. The rest...let's see :)

Anyway..some pics, picked her up from the dealership today:

Yea the rims are nice. It seems that they are also very picky, tried two sets of 225 tires on them today and nothing fits! I'm rather lost now, either I have to try and sell my Nokias or change to new rims...

Too bad about the tires. I guess the Nokias are a bit fatter than other manufacturers 225s

WORK doesn't make center caps for the CR-Kai's dude. :crap:

i find that any wheel with a really recessed centre cannot fit centre caps anyway because it won't clear the axle and nut.

coil overs would remedy both issues. Lower for summer, and adjust up for winter.

or just keep it in the garage in the winter :D
