Front Nose Vinyl

I am going to take some measurements today and cut some vinyl out for my front lip (I have a 48" vinyl cutter). If I can get enough intrest from you guys I am considering mass producing these vinyl strips that would come pre-cut, ready to stick on. I would think the price would be $25-35 but I'll have to crunch the numbers once I get the actual dimensions.

It seems a lot of you guys love the look (including myself) I just thought it would make things easier and probably cheaper than buying a roll of vinyl and trying to cut it out with scisors. The vinyl I use will come in either gloss black or flat black, and have an 8 year outdoor lifespan. If you don't like it just peel it off, wouldn't leave any residue or hurt the paint.

Would anyone be interested in something like this? Are there any other stickers or pieces like this anyone has wanted?

is this for the chrome ring on our nose? Kind of like plasti-dip?

hes talking about under the nose ring to continue the black all the way down the bumper

ah i see. i'd be interested, put me down.

Yep under the nose. It would continue the black through the lip. I test fitted a gloss black piece and it looked like **** so I will be ordering some flat black early next week. I will keep you guys posted.

...probably the first one to do it.

about 3 dollars worth of vinyl.

it isn't cutting the vinyl that is a big deal.

it is the heating and stretching ..

..to make the vinyl conform to the curves and contours that is fun.

You are right, my goal is to have a piece that will be a direct "stickon" that will account for the curvature left to right of the bumper so there won't be any trimming, etc. When I get my roll in I will see just how much heating and stretching is necessary. I don't do much with curves usually just large business signs and window decals.

As far as stretching the vinyl, its really not bad. I used 3m di-noc in my car and it stretched out fine with a hair dryer. If you guys arent very good with this kinda stuff, you can take Kieffers vinyl cut to a sign shop that wraps cars in vinyl and they would be able to do it for pretty cheap I imagine. I had them vinyl the inside of my hood scoop, cost me 30 bucks.
