it didnt dim at all to me, what it did do is make the lights isolated, what i mean by that is with all that reflective chrome on there before the light was in the whole headlight, now its outlined, looks MEAN!

so how to u put it back together then, if you warm up th silicone to take apart? can you buy silicone somewhere?

and for the record.i know u cant just paint the lens. lOl. I mean, how come u cant just paint the plastic interior part of it. but i guess u'd have to get the silicone off someway right? i dunno.im gonna try to find some HOw-To- with pictures. those help more.

what i did was i took all of the silicone out while it was warm, and then put some home depot silicone in. it looks same as before

u use the same silicone to put it back together. just put the two pieces back into the oven let it sit for a little then jam them together and make sure you squeeze the hell out of it, cuz then if u have a slight gap moisture gets into it.

hey! i finished mine last night. it was pretty easy.. took about 2 hours (thats from car back to car) it definitly takes 2 people tho. all you do is bake them for 10-12 mins at 275. then just pull it apart. take a screwdriver and cut the glue. unscrew the center part and paint it.. put it all back together and back it again. then just push it back together really hard.. let it sit out to unfog for acouple mins. then stick it back in your car. beautiful!

my question is.. was i supposed to paint the main headlight part.. all the pictures i saw it wasnt.. you would have to take it off the align screws..

i used Krylon Fusion.. no primer, that stuff is great. and its glossy too.. i think it would look kinda crappy dull.

i dont think u would have to paint the main headlight part, cause honestly, the plastic is there to reflect the light from the bulb, cause that bulb piece is there to bounce it "back". ya know?? =/ i might be wrong though....
