I just got my Ferrodo DS2500 pads. I wanted to know what lubricant's I should use when I install them. In the Evo How To forums there is a link for some lubricant's, but I can not find them locally. Thanks in advance.
I use Permatex Anti-seize Lubricant. It is rated up to 1600 degrees F. The Anti-Seize Lubricant also comes in a Copper formula, which is rated up to 1800 degrees. http://www.permatex.com/products/pro...&item_no=09128

You would not believe what I went through tonight looking for this stuff. I called and drove everywhere. I will have to continue looking tomorrow. I was unsure about getting the non-copper stuff. Now I now it's ok. Thanks

I just used some orange stuff I picked up for $1 at autozone. I don't know the name of it, but it seems to do the job. It gets a little baked on at the track but it peels right off.

You'll need those too, but also the floating metal shim AND the sticky shim on the back of the pads. If any one of those three things are missing, you're likely to get a lot of noise while braking.
Ahh, I see now. In the how-to it says the copper things are shims. I don't know the technical term for that part, but it acts like a spring so that's what I call it, lol Sorry for the confusion.
