This is weird to me. Maybe cause I was in a much higher ambient temp with high humidity, but on my last trip to the dragstrip I logged my intake temps on the runs and at a 26 psi spike, my intake temps went from 137 degrees leaving the line to 105 at the top of the track. Ambient temp was around 80 degrees. This is with the stock intercooler and piping. Now I understand that my temps dropped cause the car went from sitting still to moving, what I dont understand is how your car gained temp doing the same thing. Is this from heat soaking the stock intercooler while waiting in line to make a pass? If so, did you log your runs while the car was cold and shut off, just started it up and drove it down the street? If anyone can explain this it would help, thanks.

Does this IC still work with the stock sprayers?

I have been testing a Neisei FMIC. I have noticed tipically a 2- 5 degree max difference in intake temps compared to ambient at the end of pulls. Got to test it on the track under 100 degree ambient and my intake air temps were 101 degrees.

With the AVO i used to have, I would see a 20 degree jump in temps at the end of a pull or run session. The thing is really over built and it is a bit heavier than the avo also.

Time to upgrade your injectors.

Did you notice a change in coolant temp at all with a bigger FMIC in front of your radiator?

The Nisei delta was actual intake temp, in other words the intake temp started about 60 and went to 67. Ambient was approx 60.
UHHH THIS IS IMPORTANT, your first post was easily misread... you should clarify by saying that the stock ic gained 35 degrees while the nisei gained 7... under similar conditions.

The difference is due to my runs starting around ambient versus yours that started way above ambient temperature.

I like their cooler but not having a I/C piping kit to go with it is like doing a halfway complete job. I read their working on one soon I hope. Just my 2 cents.

Any of the other intercooler pipe kits will work with their intercooler.

Actually, I bet he is using an OBDII logger that is reading the air temp off the maf, and is reading stagnant underhood air while sitting at the line.
