snow performance(unit i have) they recommend installing it right b4 or on the actual TB...i had my nozzle drilled directly on my 1.8T VW TB...on the evo i have it about 6-7" away from the TB butterfly flap...i also upgraded my nozzle. I'm working on utilizing my factory pump to run with my methanol....even lower intake temps.

I am posting pics of the actual stainless prototype I mentioned before. The intent is to create a bolt on part so you don't have to drill and tap into your stock pipe. The nozzle is also mounted so it sprays with the flow evenly. You can see it is also aerodynamically shaped so there is minimal turbulence in the airstream.
Comments are welcome.

That looks good. I would like to see how it looks installed with the stock I/C piping.

looks good...i like the aerodynamics of it... like a bullet reversed ......are u able to change nozzle sizes? and what nozzles are u using?

This mount fits nozzles with a 1/8" NPT - You probably know this as a SMC or Hago style nozzle. Many water injection kits use this style not just SMC. Naturally you can change to different GPM ratings as needed.

I will attach a nozzle mount closeup shot.

PS- the nozzle faces the throttle body side, so it is like a bullet in the air stream.

We expect to offer the stainless body by itself for $75.00 This allows you to choose your own clamps, and nozzles.

***THIS IS NOT FOR SALE YET***

We want to spend a little more time testing. Stay tuned

Make a second prototype that on a 90 degree coupler jk.

Where's the best place to get stainless or aluminum ducting for these sizes and thicknesses? I'm looking for a 90 elbow that allows at least 1.25" for rubber hosing to slip over each side

Seriously thinking about using two smaller nozzles mounted on a aluminum coupler fitted in the last section of the stock rubber - about 3 inches from actual TB plate, downstream 90 degree bend.

I originally planned to install a 90 degree aluminum sect (to mount a single nozzle) into the last bend portion of the hose but the stock hose diameter change in that area.

The reason for two nozzles is to ensure mixing since it is so close.

Just changed my mind on the above. The reason, because I realized that our eng draws air only one cyl at a time so each will get equal amts of air/WI anyhow.

c6 - why not have to small nozzles in seperate locations...for better atomizing... one near the tb and one more down stream....towards intercooler end tank(thats what i plan on doing) if i had a data logger ...i'd log the diff in intake temp with 1 noz vs 2 noz same mix.

i get my pipes made custom...u should look for a reputable shop that has mandrel bending machine

I think closer to the TB cools deeper in combustion which is what at least I want - detonation quench.

Further upstream (intercooling) will provide cooler charge which inturn provides more psi and oxygen - but I think the typical evo setup doesn't have trouble in this area, and the cooling effect should be downstream for detonation.

I just ordered an aluminum 2.5" schd 10 elbow to splice into my stock hose into the TB for nozzle tapping. I cant decide if I should put it on inside or outside of bend yet though.
