Aquamist new hi-flow system for 2007




HFS-5: System over view:

- Constant pressure system - very low pressure ripple (factory set to 125psi)
- High speed PWM valve ensure accurate flow control against fuel duty cycle.
- Fast dymanic response time to load and RPM change
- Consistant droplet size due to high system pressure under all conditions.
- Powerful 150 Watt Shurflo pump motor capable of maintaining flow beyond 2 litre/minute
- DDS3 (bundled) ensures flow is monitored constantly for clogged jet or cut hose.
- 2x failsafe channels to perform advanced failsafe tasks such as boost cut, map switch, etc.
- Water and methanol compatible (0-100%)
- Available by the end of January

If anyone wants addition improvements to the current specification, please post here, theris still time to add or taken parts away. Theris still time.

The MRRP wil be set at USD895.00, no idea what discount will the dealers be offering on the street.

This HFS-5 system is designed to fill the demand of those who wants to deliver water/methanol mix in relationship to fuel duty cycle. Tuning should be a breeze and predictable. The flow is more than enough for 500BHP+ engines.

Following the fuel duty cycle is the nearest thing to constructing a custom 3-D map on a third party EMS. DDS3 will give you the failsafe.

Is this more advanced then the perrin one? I believe the perrin one is a rebadged Aquamist kit.

the price is very reasonable! buy a injection from other manufacturer for ~$500, add a good failsafe from somewhere else for another ~$300 to $600.

Not steep at all considering the design/engineering that is put into the design of this fully integrated system. PLUS the excellent technical/customer support that comes with it.

How does this unit compare to Snow's 2D setup (MAF and boost)? Also, it says that it is water / Meth compatible, but no mention of Alcohol. Can the system run alcohol w/o any issues? I understand alcohol does not provide as much benefit as Meth. but isn't it a lot safer (non toxic ??) ? Also, what tank does this setup include and what about fuel lines? Thanks

The Aquamist system mirrors the fuel duty cycle rather reading air flow via the MAF. It will be choice you need to make before selecting what system suit your better. We have chosen to follow FIDC because it is closely related to afr at different load conditions. MAF does not follow afr strictly. We planned this system for replacing some fuel with either water or methanol. So tracking IDC is essential.

The system is also compatible with ethanol (denatured alcohol +5% methanol), but methanol has a higher latent heat capacity than ethanol - better in-cylinder cooling properties and it is cheaper.

The reason for using an expensive "PWM valve" delivery system instead of "PWM pump" is purely for speed and response time.

PWM valve (low inertia) compared to PWM pump (high inertia). Ever wonder why gasoline fuel injected cars do not run on a "variable fuel pump speed" system, even to the penny pinching car makers? You can now draw some conclusion why the Aquamist system is costing more than other system based on pump speed. A water/alcohol compatible PWM valve is not a mass production item.

Wow...Richard, nice job explaining the differences without being harsh on the competition. I am sold, please let me know when the kit is available.
