the question was answered in another post... but here is the answer again...
Here is the reply i received from the mfg of Eneos:
"Our 0w-50 is actually a combination of Ester and PAO base. Yes ester is a better base but due to engineering and mechanics, a combination of both along with special additives, makes that total formulation best for heat and oxidation resistance and very low friction.
That’s in consideration of today’s high performance vehicle. We will have an all ester based product in the future..."

I have a little query.
As per recommended on the obvious logo on the oil cap. Been using 10W-30 Mobil 1.
Car has 10K miles on it.
It is only driven between Spring and Autumn as such what do you recommend?
5W-40 or 0W-50
I am concerned over the oils ability to withstand the high heat of summer especially due to our turbos producing so much heat.
I realised just Mobil 1 isn't synthetic and am debating between going with Greddy, Amsoil or Eneos.

They have now, due to the fact that Mobil 1 is just highly refined hydrolocked dino oil, been dropped into Group III. As such not full synthetic.
The other readily available option is to go with German Castrol. Its the European version you can find in Autozone.
Both my eclipses and montero will probably switch to the german castrol. I will switch my evo to eneos however.
+2.. i bought a brand new case of Mibil1 a bam group4 full synthetic.. what's up fellas heh.. anyways.. this oil is awsome.. too bad am in germany but if he is willing to to an APO adress.. than I want 4 cases.. how you like dat mynes..
Ok. I broke down and bought two cases...
EDIT: Approximately 20 minutes after paying, I got a tracking number from Mynes!!! These guys don't mess around.
