Are you referring to the tab the holds the bumper cover to the fender, the one with the screw in the middle? If so I did not have to touch mine but I read other posts where some people did have to cut/bend it. But when you do the fender will hang lose on the end so you will have to find an alternate method to attach it.

you can mount a new bolt further back. I trimmed off most of the stock bolt area.

drilled a new bolt hole a little further back.

I had the same problem. Had to shave it, and made another small hole little over an inch back to hold the bumper.

I think the way to do it would be to drill and bolt before removing the original.

thats what I did. first I drilled the bumper. Then I put it back, and attached the old bolt. Marked the spot on the body through the hole I just made in the bumper . Took the bumper off again drilled the hole in the body. Put the bumper back, checked if the holes aligned. Took it off again, shaved the body bolt area and bumper area. Pictures are random.

It's kinda hard to explain without a picture. Ok try to use your imagination.. you know when your rolling the fender. Instead of rolling the inner fender, it was not rolling but pushing the outer part of the fender out, that's the best way I can describe itJust read the thread again. I talking about the actual fender itself not the bumper, Sorry.
