Edmunds Nurburgring video
They are going to make threads with the tittle " Should i Trade in my Evo 8/9 for an X? need your oppinions help!!! "
The part when the black X turns left on that street was my favorite. I like those rims better than the ones on the graphite grey X. Those mulit-spoke rims fill the wells much, much better. Also, black is looking like the color to get. Nice pace around that track. Although, the Ring is of the quickest if not the quickest track of them all. Overall, I loved what I saw of the black X - not so much with the graphite grey - looks-wise, of course.

Some of those numbers don't seem to add up, but this looks official..
7K redline
206Kw = 280ps = 276hp WAY up high at 6500rpm
422N-m = 43Kg-m = 311lb-ft
of torque down low at 3500 rpm.The engine looked like it was shaping up to be a high hp/low TQ build, but here it is proving just the opposite. This thing is going to PULL.
Now that I think about it.. Isn't 276hp that "magic number" that the Japanese auto manufacturers agreed upon? If so, I'll bet that 276 is WAY underrated with 311lb-ft of torque.
But if it isn't underrated, i'm disappointed and surprised that it's not over 300hp, but I'm delighted that the torque is so high. Torque = Fun
No word on the weight so far in the vid...
I haven't finished the video yet, but..
Something else I noticed. They show two Evos in that, a Black and a Red. The red has the Evo X's headlights and mirrors, but still has those BBS rims. I think the Red is also missing the Foglights. Looks like they are showing two different trims. Looks like those BBS rims are here to stay!
LOVE the silhouette comparison..
The vents behind the front wheels are black.. Nice touch. And one I was thinking of.
The Black Evo has a lighter center-section of the front bumper than the Red. I wonder if that indicates different trimlines....
Interior shot with NO RADIO. I'm really thinking that Red Evo is a stripped down trimline meant for those who want a track car. Who said the Evo was getting soft?
NICE! The center MFD in the cluster will show feedback from the S-AWC system!! I love watching the tech stuff at work.
The dynograph looks.. weird.. I'd love to hear what an experienced tuner thinks of it. Maybe because it's in metric units..
Finished it..
Nice vid. Wish there was a DVD-2 to watch.. Despite the low rated HP, I'm REALLY liking what I see!
