I got the 40D as a body, so i got the lenses separate.
First 2 shots are with a 18-55mm (Rebel kit lens)
3rd shot was with a 50mm f/1.8

And all 3 have Photoshop work done to it.

Those are great pictures. I have learned from my wife's camera that it takes more than just a nice camera for good pictures. I love the backgrounds you selected.

Yea, believe me its not only the camera. You can use a simple point and shoot camera and get great shots. (Expensive DSLR cameras just allows you to be more versatile.

Composition is key in photography, and you need to train your eye for it.

Also, you camera might take a good picture, but to make that picture GREAT. Its almost always going to need some sort of post processing. Even if its something as simple as sharpening the image.

I am still learning, its definitly good to read up on it and practice practice practice.

Learn your settings, and learn what they do. After awhile things will just come naturally.

I want to really get into Studio style photography, so i think that will be fun.

So we will see. I plan on doing another shoot this week.
