EXEDY TWIN's! / ACT / Tilton Clutches @ TTP-Engineering!

All of EXEDY multi-plate clutches come with lightweight, chrome moly steel flywheel and the famous purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. Kit includes Flywheel, Disc(s), & Pressure Plate only! In Stock and Ready to Ship!

Applications: 2003-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8-9, 2.0L 4G63T Turbocharged, pull type clutch, (CN,CP,CT9A)

We have installed a number of Exedy HD style kits in EVO's and have found good result. Some of our customers have been so happy with the clutches that they often called us up a day later to say how much they like the feel and responsiveness.

IN STOCK, READY TO SHIP!

ACT pressure plates are manufactured from new units, not rebuilt from worn out parts. ACT diaphragms are heat-treated using an exclusive 3-stage process. ACT hardens the release bearing contact area to reduce wear. ACT designs each pressure plate in the optimum working range for maximum design.

The ACT clutch for the Evo is available in a few varieties. The street disk will be great for most applications but if you are making over 450whp and do frequent drag racing the HDTTP cerametallic version is for you if fast shifts from a light disc with no upper rpm lockouts.

In addition to the Heavy Duty kits for the Evo we have an XT option which increases the clamping load of the pressure plate. This increases the torque holding capacities of the clutches, but can hamper shifting performance.

Please PM us for our best recommendation for your Evo's primary use application.

Tilton Performance Clutch options include a Cerametallic/Organic Hybrid, Cerametallic and Carbon/Carbon clutch. The flywheel included in the packages has been engineered to have a compromised weight/inertia that provides increased performance (faster engine acceleration) and good drivability (reduced bogging). Also included with each clutch package is a hydraulic release bearing (HRB) that mounts inside the bellhousing and replaces the stock slave cylinder/fork arm release bearing mechanism. This HRB provides quick shifting, low pedal effort and self-adjusts for clutch wear.

Tilton’s Full Twin Cerametallic clutch packages were engineered for track or extreme street applications. The cerametallic discs can withstand increased abuse when compared to organic-type discs, such as harder shifting typically seen at open track days and higher temperatures generated when the clutch is slipped excessively to get a good launch.

Features: 7.25inch 2-plate cerametallic clutch. Rated torque capacity: 600+ lb-ft* Billet 4140 steel flywheel with integral-cut ring gear. Hydraulic release bearing assembly Aircraft-quality hardware Total Weight 19.1 lbs

PM us on custom TILTON twin disc options that are the best for your application, whether drag racing, road racing, auto-x or street/strip. We have the knowledge and expertise to show you the way.

These are the top rated clutches for the Evo, hands down.

Which clutch do use on your car and why? Is the Tilton cerametallic streetable? How much torque does it hold? I'm looking for some thing better than the Exedy twin, but don't want to break the bank.

The tilton is smaller, lighter and revs faster, holds 700tq range. Harder engagement and noisy.

EXEDY twin to 600tq, sprungs discs, same weight as stock, drives more stocklike with easier engagement and less noise.
