Good Upholsterer Needed
I am looking for recommendations on a good upholstery shop in the midwest. I am located in St. Louis, but if I have to go to Chicago, Memphis, KCMO, wherever, that's fine.
I have a pair of Recaro SRD's that I picked up several years ago for not a lot. I want them redone in the same black leather/perforated leather combo to match my SSL interior stock recaros.
I want OE looking work. I will not stand for puckered seams around curves, crooked stitching, etc. I do not mind paying for quality work. In short, I am a picky SOB that wants it done right!
If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!

Hey, that makes 2 in the STL area need upholstery work!
I'm needing someone to modify my front seats for my new 6pt harnesses. Seen another fellow Evo with this setup and really liked how clean his turned out.
My neighbor recommended a place near Greenville, IL (about 40miles from downtown) that he's had some work done before on furniture. I was probably going to check them out. I'm not in a big rush.

I'm in no rush, either...hell, the seats have been hanging up in my garage for ~3 years now.
I want to have a sub strap hole put in the bottom cushion as well. I don't know if I will ever use it, but it will be there if I do.
If you check out the shop in Greenville, let me know what you think. I would be appreciative.

Yeppers, that's what I have in mind as far as sub belt holes. They were an option on the SRD's. Since I am going for a total retrim, might as well do it.
Those look like they are done quite nicely...and the sub-strap was placed properly. Was the hole lined, or is it just sliced through?
So many are way too far forward, greatly diminishing their effectiveness. I laugh/cry at the ones that just run the strap over the front of the lower cushion.
Anyone else with any recommendations?

I'm having trouble reaching the place I was referred to...
It's out near Greenville/Keyesport IL, so like 30-40min from downtown.
Eyman's Upholstery

If you've got plan, I'd exercise that now. I'm going to look for other options as my car is nearly ready to rock so I'm ready for the seats anytime.

Another option:
There's a place called AutoTailers out in St Charles, MO. Sounds like they do a lot of showcars. I called and they were booked about a month out, so sounds like they're busy!
