So you'd suggest sticking with a 245/40 size which will be almost as wide as the 255's?

I run 255/40's in Azenis RT-615's without any issues. I kinda was thinking the same size.

lmao that's sig worthy. Especially the "with the exception of the warranty" part

Yes, but it depends what you will be using them for. The info on TR doesn't seem to show the true size. When I get back to CT, I will take a ruler and pictures of mine to see if these really line up.

If AXing, I like the taller 245/45's to get more out of them on long 2nd gear tracks. If HPDEing, I like the 245/40 or 255/40's for more tire patch. I would go 245/40 in that choice due to weight savings - 2 lbs a corner.

245/40ZR17
26 lbs a tire
9.8 section width
24.7 dia
844 rpm

245/45ZR17
28 lbs a tire
9.7 section width
25.7 dia
808 rpm

255/40ZR17
28 lbs a tire
10.4 section width
25 dia
834 rpm

OEM:
235/45ZR17 (AO46's)
25 lbs a tire
9.4 section width
25.3 dia
822 rpm
((300 a tire now ))

Since these run a bit wide, wonder if we would see any rubbing on the 255/40/17 with stock BBS.

^I used to run 255/40 on Advan 17x9 +35's. No rubbing at all. Lowered on Swifts too.

^^ Yeah I got that man but the angle of that picture makes it really hard to interpret. Could've taken a picture from the side to show the stock wheel, tire sidewall, and ride height. I'm just saying...
