We then bought about 6 housings from other vendors on Ebay and found all of their quality to be **** poor. As far as o2 dumps go, I'm certainly no big name tuner like David Buschur, but alot of "what works" is an opinion. People want different things. All I'm saying is having an o2 dump on your car is certainly not going to hurt HP, and most people who just use their cars on the street won't feel any differance other than the noise the car makes between different o2 housings.

Personally, I like the sound of a VTA wastegate. Yeah, it can occasionaly get annoying, bu that's what having a DD is for. Hell, my Evo in general is annoying.

I used the JMFab o2 dump on my first Evo and I loved it. No LICP fitment issues due to how it's routed, no different "version" bull**** to worry about and it's made very, very well. It could have been a placebo effect, but I feel like the car defiantly had a big jump in power (no tune or dyno to prove), equal to when I went from an HFC to test pipe. Like I said the car felt faster, but I can't prove it. That Evo (RIP) is gone now

I recently bought a new Evo which already has an EPM o2 dump on it. No idea what "version" and I had to make it fit with my ETS LICP (I still don't like the fitment). I hate the way the flange looks, the way the wastegate exit is simply just a circle. The dump tube is obnoxiously too big which again makes for the loss of LICP space. The turbine exit is 3", but immediatly dumps right back into 2.5" at the flange. again, useless area taken up again. The quality of the EPM dump I think is decent, but the design... not so much. The JMFab, if any is the one to get. Shearer's defiantly looks really nice too.

In my opinion, if you want an o2 dump, buy one. But defiantly get a JMFab or Shearer. I wouldn't waste any time with EPM or QTP. I give EPM credit with their customer service, but their product has way too many flaws. If you don't want an o2 dump, well it's been proven time and time again that Buschur will be able to take care of your recirculation needs.

I'd love to take the EPM off and replace it with a JMFab dump or possibly go the recirculation route, but I already went through the installation of an o2 dump once. The little performance differance, in my personal opinion is not worth 2-3 hours of frustration

I'm looking foward to seeing your results, David

I don't know if is really worth buying an 02 dump, I've seen cars with it and more mods then mine and they make less power, thats why I'll stay with my ebay 02housing, just my .02

Ron came to the shop on Friday and we did some testing.................then after those results on Tuesday ( I left for vacation) the test was performed again.

I was hoping Ron would stop in here and give some details to it all while I was gone.

What we found was what I found years ago. The Shearer dump is exceptional quality and the bell mouth he uses at the flange is nice, dump tube is very large.

We dyno'd the car exactly like it was when it ran the 10.3 at 138 mph. Then Ron and Ted swapped the housings. Power/torque fell off quite a bit. The boost also fell off. So we then attempted to get the boost back to the same point but no matter what we tried the boost would not peak or hold the same amount as it did with our 02 housing on the car. Peak boost was 32 psi with our housing, with Ron's was down to 29 I think. (as I said, on vacation and I am still gone, I do not have notes in front of me)

So then we decided that we would re-baseline the car with his housing on Tuesday at 25 psi peak boost and then switch the car back to our housing and set the boost at 25 psi with our housing. The guys at the shop did this. The peak boost was within .1 psi but with Ron's dump, uptop, still fell off over 2 psi from our housing. Bottom line was the peak/overall hp was never as high as it was with our housing but Ron's housing made a litte more torque when both were run at 25 psi.

We checked timing/load/AFR's and those were kept consistent between the tests.

That's the basics and is consistent with every test I have seen done by myself or anyone I actually trust to sell parts that work.

Invidia testing was done a few years ago, entire thread on it and the results, did not perform well.

The housing we sell is about 2.5" on the outlet, I don't remember actually measuring it, all I know is it works.

Ok guys, update on what I've been planning...I'd love to hear your opinions so please post

Basically, I'm 90% sure I'll go with the new Shearer O2 Dump. And use this with the 3" TurboXS down pipe I have already. Also, looking at getting the Mil.Spec 3" 100 cell cat.

FMIC will remain standard for the timebeing. An ETS V2 LICP will be used. FMIC kit will be bolted on later when more $$ are available.

Since I'm changing my exhaust I've decided to bolt on a new turbo - currently trying to decide between a ported BBK Full and the new FP HTA Green. I'm also keen to see the results on the new BBK-XL...

I want to get a boxed pod filter kit of some sort and replace my HKS RS Kit Reloaded (pod/intake pipe) since I believe heatsoak might be an issue. Looking at the Apexi Pod and Apexi Aluminum Box with a Samco Silicone Intake pipe. OR the AVO Intake pipe/pod in the AVO ally box.

Are there any other intake kits worthwhile looking at? I'd prefer a pod in an enclosure of some sort if possible, to avoid heatsoak and cop troubles...

My car will be run on pump gas (98 RON here in Aus, not sure how that compares to US Pump). No E85 available at the pump in my state unfortunately and not sure when we will see it either :S

I need a set of injectors as well. So not really sure which ones to get either?
Was considering the Power Enterprise 700cc's. But see alot of other options out there (RC, Denso, FIC etc.) Any recommendations on sizes and brands to look at??

Any recommendations and opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help so far guys
