Hi,

I want to convert my stock iginition setup in my 2004 JDM Evo MR to direct COP system.

I just wanna know what are the coils needed to pair off with the AEM CDI2?

Went to AEM webby & I cant find the coils. Can anyone advise me what r the aftermarket coils or motorcycle coils to use with the AEM CDI2?

Where to get your recommended coils?

Need the exact name, part number of the coils too. If there is a wiring diagram to pair of with the coils recommended will be a great help to me too.

Currently, I am on AEM EMS.

Please help a newbie here... :>

The c2di will work with your setup it is a universal 4 channel or 8 channel cdi box. The motorcycle coils are good, but you have to use a spark plug that has a screw off top or already has the threaded body for the top. Anyways, most DSM and EVO guy's use a chrysler coil. You have to use a coil that DOES NOT have a built in ignitor. As a matter of fact I am selling a 4 channel c2di brand new in the box, and have an extra set of these chrysler coils laying around if you are interested. BTW, John Shepherd runs these same coils and just went 8.17@177 in his 1g DSM.

Sell at retail man. AEM recalled numerous boxes. We are an AEM WD and have waited 3 months for the new boxes. New boxes coming end of this month. Guys do not worry if you have one it is only 2% of the boxes bad out in circulation. I will post serial # on Tuesday if anyone is concered.
