aem ems school

i dont have any previous tuning experience,
how hard is it to learn to tune a car using aem?

can a regular guy even (not a mechanic) learn it, or should i just leave it the pros?

Not a car guy? Leave it to someone else. It's easy to learn, but if you don't understand the cause and effect of your changes up front...it's not worth ffing with.

i think u'd be better off starting with something a little more user friendly like UTEC, that's the route i'm going.

check out efi university.
Theres alot to learn with tuning. Even more with a car thats boosted. Then even more using a standalone unit like AEM EMS.
