GM boost controller hook-up and a question about saving the tune

Ok, just got the controller in and it appears to have 3 vaccum nips. One behind/under a sponge thingy(figure its not used). There is a black nip next to the sponge thing, and a silver(bare metal) one on the other end. Which hooks up to where?

Are the wires to the factor controller the ones used for this one? And I read in another post about a green wire going to this controller, is that to the positive?

And when I connect to the EMS, how can I save the map to my comp so that if I mess something up, I can just upload the original. I have only messed with the EMS a couple of times, never changing anything. But I want to try getting the 2-step working with the VSS.

Thanks

I am wondering the exact smae thing about the boost solenoid as well. I'm installing it Saturday morning, and I don't know which hoses go where. Hopefully someone with experience can give us a little insight.

Bump

And I just hooked up my laptop to try and turn the 2-step on. I went to the little icon for rpm, the 3 windows came up; Options - Main Re..., Options - 2Step Rev Limit and the Parameters. Now I tried changing the fields on both Options windows, but as soon as I clicked off them they would go back to what they were. Whats with that?
