just installed the aem serial data gauge...read the instructions and it says that its for version 1.19 or newer..i have the aem 1.11 (1313U)..if i DL the 1.19 to the laptop and to the aem so i can run the gauge will it mess my tune up?is there anything i can do about this....PLEASE HELP!!!

 

Who did you purchase the AEM EMS from? Dave Buschur just updated my firmware and software in mine from 1.03 to 1.19 at the shootout. There were a couple things he had to tweak like the O2 sensor for some reason was reading for methanol instead of gasoline so he had to change the units.... not sure what else he may have had to tweak.

If you are doing this on your own get advice over at the AEM forums (aempower.com under electronics forums). You could also post up in the AEM forum here at EVOM.... perhaps someone in that forum can help you out.

ya i called AEM and posted it everywhere...i can update it to 1.19 and do it.im gonna wait till the tuner gets here so he can switch the versions,and switch maps,retune and do the gauge...i just dont feel like messing anything up...thanks for the help tho

 

How much did the aem serial data gauge cost you and where did you get it? This is my next purchase for my EVO
