Should I

Im debating on getting a plug n play AEM for my 06EVOIXMR. I hear that it takes several turns to start, and that is something I dont think I could tolerate. Is this a rare occurance, or typically is starting sluggish?

Thanks

One turn of the key. Usually two to three revolutions to Stat Sync and start. You make it sound like more than it is I'm sure someone made you think that though

I got used to it and i also thought it would drive me nuts. I only drive the car roughly 7,500 miles per year though

I drive my car every day and it does drive me nuts.

It not THAT bad, but for a daily driver it really can get on your nerves.

I'd say stick to the stock ECU until you are making 500+ whp.

You can fine tune engine startup values and AEM has a sync early feature that will help it start quicker if this is a problem for you. I have tuned many different cars with AEM and things like cold start and Warmup idle just take a little bit of extra work to get working correctly. Once they do, you shouldn't notice a difference from stock.
