connecting aem uego 30-4100 to 30-1320 EMS???

I was told I need to connect the white wire from the aem uego gauge to the FRONT o2 sensor pin on the EMS. I show that as being PIN 71 on the EMS. I was ALSO told I need to connect the ground for the wideband to the sensor ground. is this true? Because in the instructions it says I only need to do that if I'm using he blue wire and connecting it to a serial port. Thanks in advance, I just want to confirm this.

-Steve

You should not run it to the sensor ground.. I ran the wideband ground to the battery and use a relay to switch it on and off from the power wire to the battery. The white wire is the only wire that goes to the ECU.

Because I run it to the battery and that way it doesn't stay on after you shut off the car. Make sure you have an inline fuse. This will assure you have good ground and max voltage for most accurate A/F’s
