first of all....

finally got the car to start with AEM's basemap

most of the dashboard on the laptop is not working properly which makes me think i am missing a whole lot or have not done a whole lot.

the RPM's and TPS don't work
when the throttle is pushed the airflow moves but not the tps (with engine off)

i am sure there is more, but wanted to know if it is a calibration setting for the sensors or if there is something else

no MAF - converted to AEM 5bar map sensor, BBK 70mm TB with new TPS


any help is appreciated, just trying to get bugs worked out so its simpler when i get it up to AMS sometime around march.


and yes i have the massive copy of the instructions, but i might as well be writen in greek the way it jumps around and is not very clear

 

Sounds like a calibration issue. Go back through all the sensor calibrations again just to make sure you have covered your bases.

Question, is the cal file the same as the version of AEM software you are using? (i.e. 1.19 cal with 1.19 software)

yes the cal files are the same. i have AEM's base plus a couple of maps from people and all of them do the same thing.

hopefully i can get this figured out before i take it to AMS so they don't have to dick around as much with fixing basic stuff

 

I no longer do these Base maps.
