What level of cut for 2step?

what level of cut are you guys using within your 2step rev limit wizard?

i am making too much boost, ~19/21 psi @ 5,500 revs.....

i have tried a 50 rpm gap between my retard rev & ign cut...all while on level 0 = soft cut...which sounds horrible, but offers decent rev control.....i havent tried any other cut level & have searched & read to run 0 level......

in log data, my ign timing claims -17, so maybe i will try a higher level of cut to see if that reduces my boost level.

here is my log below with notes within the data set for settings tried....1 notes is for the 1st 2 step try & so on.

mods are: s1 cams, 3" tbe, t.p., 65mm tb, 880 inj, 255 fp, fmic, wpn-r int., fp-grn w/oem actuator

any advice would be apreciated.

TIA

^ yeah, after have some beer & looking @ the data, i saw that the ign is @ -17....when rpm dipped low, i saw that hte system tried applying some ign to bring the revs up...so maybe i need to try a higher level of cut, which wont retard the timing so much = heat = driving the turbo.....

just a thought... i have never messed / tried to tune the 2 step before....

the car leaves very hard @ 20 psi....i think my car may decide to leave parts on the road if i try that all the time!!

what other parameters should i log internally when trying to tune the 2step?

well, i tried 3 different wizard rev limiter levels: 0 / 3 / 6. all generated more boost than i cared for....or maybe my drivetrain would care for!

level 6 sounded somewhat harsher, but the boost oscllated more, it was 15 psi for ~1.5 seconds, then went up to 21 psi...the afr oscillated more too..

i am doing all this testing @ wot.
