AEM without AIT and UEGO controller?

I just got an EVO in the garage that is still using the stock O2 sensors in the stock locations and no AIT sensor that I can see. I am wondering how the car runs so well so I decided to post this thread to see if anyone knows if the UEGO/AIT sensor is needed with the AEM. BTW, this is on an 8.

Thanks!

the answer is no. UEGO is a tuning tool and AIT is mainly used for speed density, not MAF.

You can get the car running pretty well with-out the ait sensor. Day to d it should be fine as long as there aren't drastic chages in air temps...

I don't think it's a good idea to tune with-out a wb 0-5v sensor. It makes tuning so much easier. I think it's one of the most important sensors you can buy-- Unless you have access to a wb on a dyno for free and can log ar's for the tune that way.
