AEM 1320U problem
AEM 1320U problem PLEASE HELP
Today my tuner was tuning start up and drivability before going onto the Dyno and we ran into two problems. First the ignition timing keeps jumping after the timing was timed correctly, second the built in Uego wideband doesnt read past 15 AFR. I just bought this EMS recently, brand new in the box...could this be a defective unit, or is there a updated firmware needed to make things work properly? I forgot to add that I also installed the AEM 5 bar and Aem IAT sensors. If the unit is defective, is there a warranty on the unit also? Please help me out thanks
MODS:
AEM EMS
AEM 5 bar map sensor
AEM AIT sensor
MAP downpipe with external dump
GSC S1 cams
850cc clinics
Walbo 255
ETS 3.5" intercooler
Muse upper and lower I/C pipping
HKS titanium exhaust
3" piping not cat
Megan manifold
Stock IX turbo
ams boost controller
Gates racing timing belt

Did you lock the timing in the software when you verified with a timing light?
There are a number of modifier tables that affect the ignition timing, and cause it to jump around. Especially if you are using them to facilitate idle control.

Wideband requires that you adjust the O2 Gain, in order to get it to match the sensor calibration.
If you are using an external UEGO, adjust the gain until the AFR number on the gauge matches the AFR output by the AEM Pro Software.

Here is how to make sure your base ignition timing is setup correctly.

As Imaboa said, adjust the gain, with the Sensor unhooked, your car should read 14.7 afr if on Gas. Also make sure that you have the correct Units set for your display(From AEM Pro -> Configure -> Units). Check the AFR one. YOu can also reset it just to be on the safe side. Just select CNG hit apply and then hit Gas and apply.

Thanks guys! problem solved
it ended up being a faulty wideband (my tuner borrowed a UEGO wideband from a friend) and the map sensor wiring wasnt correct...We dyno tuned today and hit some reasonable numbers on 92 octane @21psi......358.66 awhp 360.02 awtq 11.5AFR

Tune, motor, head or timing went bad i dont know
Driving in second gear, about 3/4 throttle car bogs alittle then all of a sudden the engine dies...I was able to pull over and try and start the car once again....I have a real hard time starting the car and seems as if theres no compression. I finally got the car started and noe the car sounds like a Suby. I manged to drive the car down the street to my tuners shop. He first checked the spark plugs and found that cylinder # 4 spark plug was bent alittle, then compression checked all the cylinders and found that cylinder #4 compression was lower than the rest. Funny thing is that the car doesnt emit smoke out of the exhaust and after everything was put back together we fired it up and ran normal... the head/motor will be taken apart tomorrow to see the extent of the damage. I hope and pray that its not going to be an engine re-build...lmk what yall think
