Who has tried Series2?

Just curious who has tried the new Series2 with good luck? I had serial #19 and all of the sudden it wouldn't idle no matter what we did. Installed the Series1 and problem solved. Shop here in Colorado took back the Series2 ECU and will be sending it back. I think I may give Series2 a year to get the bugs worked out.

I am running the AEM EMS S2 with FIC Bluemax 1450cc injectors and E85, 2.3L stroker. My idle is better than stock. However, cold start is another issue, but just needs a little fine tuning.

I've got #17...

What did AEM say (assuming you've contacted them)?

Best of luck...

My series 2 should get here this week, hoping it fixes the issues some of the tuners have acknowledged.

Serial #19 means it was the 19th Series2 Evo8 box off the assembly line. Seems people are having better luck with the Evo9 S2 boxes. I really want to try series 2 again but I want to make sure AEM has all their bugs worked out.

the box is only as good as it's firmware. Doesn't matter what S/N you have as the hardware for all of them is exactly the same.

I've been eyeing a series 2 for my Evo since it was announced. I'd really like to switch to it but would have to sell my series 1 before I could make that happen. I'm waiting for it to go main stream as I am sure there will be some bugs along the way.

I am supposed to be switching a Supra that I tune from a series 1 to a series 2 in the very near future. I'm looking forward to digging in and learning it! The tuning software is very nice once you start getting used to navigating through it.

Used it with a dezod kit in an is300. Works fine so far, no complaints.

I have series two in Shawnas dd. It works ok. There is still a bunch of bugs that keep popping up but we will eventually get to the end of them.

Care to give a few details? I'm fairly close to moving to Series 2 so I've been curious of these quirks but haven't found much information on them under the Evo platform. I've read a few on the Supra forums already but there is no telling if that is platform specific or not at this point.
