I am currently looking to start a new tune on the Evo 8 I bought last summer. The car does not run good, I'd like to make changes, and I don't know what the previous owner has done in the current tune.
Im running AEM Pro and using firmware V1.19.
I can connect to the ECU, update, and flash the current tune.

I wanted to start fresh, so I loaded the startup map. (1313 I think? EVO 8 MAP)
I went to go into the ECU wizard and got the error: Could Not Find AEM Configuration File

I have already placed the updated file into the AEM folder. Is there something I am missing to make this work?

I have searched here and the AEM forum as best I could with no luck.

what cable are you using to connect?

so i hear you say that you cant even connect to see anything, is that correct?

i recall there being certain db9 to usb cables that were more reliable then the less expensive units.

do you know who previously tuned the car/ecu? i ask because some people can lock-out their tune. I dont know how to verify this.... i think ivey locks his aem tunes, i could be wrong.

 

As stated above that I have no problems connecting and flashing the AEM EMS unit. This problem is within tuner pro itself. Like a file is misplaced or something of that nature..
