Kristin's 9 Second Daily Driver - The "Demonette" - Evo 9 Build

Some of you may have seen my thread last year about my nearly full weight Evo 9 making a 10.7 pass in the 1/4 mile at 126mph on the stock turbo/stock motor. Well, I've decided to make a few changes to the setup, but still keeping her my DD.......... I've had my 2006 Evo 9 for a few years now and it's always been my daily driver – summer, winter, it doesn't matter what the weather is. I have been steadily modifying her while having a little fun drag racing and auto-crossing.

Video of the 10.7 pass
Thread - https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...7-126-mph.html

MODS FOR 10.7 PASS:
*Stock Evo 9 Turbo
*Stock Evo 9 Engine with 80K
*Kelford 272 Cams and valve springs
*AMS FMIC and intercooler piping
*Aeromotive 340 Fuel Pump with 1150 cc injectors
*Tial Q BOV
*MAP External Dump
*MAP Rev 2 Intake Manifold and Milspec TB
*SparkTech COP
*Boostin Performance 3" Aluminum Exhaust
*Grimmspeed BCS
*Quarter Master 8-Leg Racing Clutch
*Boostin Performance Built Trans w/ Evo 8 3rd & 4th Gears
*Speed Density Stock ECU Tuned By Devin
*Dual Maps - 93 Octane And E85 Gas

I've been thinking about possibly modifying the car more for awhile now, and decided now was the time. I wanted a daily driver that would go 9's all day long, but still be reliable for the street, so Devin and I started brainstorming. Along with this transformation, it was also time that she's got a name - the "Demonette" Our goal with this build is to showcase one of our Boostin Performance builds, and how we can accomplish this project in a timely fashion while also providing results both on our Mustang Dyno and at the track right away without waiting weeks or months to get the car "dialed in." Ultimately this is what our customer's are searching for when they are looking for a performance shop to build their car – a shop that has the knowledge, experience, and passion to build a fast, consistent, and reliable street car, and a shop that provides real world results with every build.

This entire build process took under 2 weeks, and was done off shop hours. Our goal was to get my car to compete in the Juniors Class at the King of the Streets (KOTS) event, held last weekend at Great Lakes Dragway in Wisconsin. We dynoed the car the morning of the event, and made a nice clean pass our 2nd attempt out. With the KOTS event being a clocks off/street racing event at the track, we didn't get any time slips, but we're hoping to head to the track soon to get some numbers.

I'll continue to keep this thread updated often with pictures of the build progress.... and also post up dyno results very soon!!
Check out Boostin Performance's Facebook page for track updates, videos, and more.

THE DEMONETTE BUILD INCLUDES:
*Boostin Performance Built High Compression 2.0L
*Stock Evo 9 cly. head with supertech valve spring and retainers (head currently on the car)
*Boostin Performance Stage 3 Cylinder Head (not on the car yet)
*ID 2000cc injectors & Buschur Double Pumper
*ETS T4 Twin Scroll 6766 turbo kit
*Boostin Performance ported Skunk 2 Intake Mani w/ Full Blown 70mm Throttle Body
*GSC S3 Evo 9 cams
*Custom Boostin Performance UICP & LICP w/ AMS Race FMIC
*Sparktech Non-CDI Ignition system
*Boostin Performance built Drag Ratio Transmission w/ 4.11 Final
*AEM-EMS S1 tuned on E85

Some pics before the build got started

Me giving the guys some help uninstalling my old FMIC

4.11 final along with new syn. and springs for 2nd / 3rd / 4th

Trans all finished up ready to go in

We built a second motor for the car, that way we can keep and store the stock engine. If we ever sell the car we will probably install that motor back in the car.

Gotta love that ETS Twin Scroll T4 Turbo Kit

No AC in a daily driver? Looks great though. What made you choose a 67 vs a 6466 twin scroll kit? Can't wait to see the times.

i like the DD no A/C. just personal perf. or that type of turbo kit wont allow for it. i am sure ETS can chime in there.

build looks great. i hope you reach your goals. BP does some awesome work.

Turbo kit works with A/C and P/S. We are glad to be part of this build. Big things coming from the Boostin Performance Crew!

Only in IL, DD's where I live all have ac, it's suicide not to. If it's not the heat and humidity it's the rain and vise versa.

I too want to know why such a big drag race turbo is needed on a DD...

Hmm, mini brakes, bumper blocked off, drag turbo, no ac... I'm not gonna say it lol

GL with it, it's sure to be a beast, and man your lucky to have a woman that can drive like that!!!! hats off to you guys!

Where I live, we know that when an evo has no wing it's been lightened and definitely modified. It's a tell tell sign. I could never take the wing off mine.. Tried, couldn't deal with it.

Many people have thier own opinions on what is a daily driver, just because you wouldn't drive it that way doesn't mean others can't either.

The Demonette finally got the TLC she deserved. Being so busy with customer cars and putting them first I thought the day would never come Can't wait to see what she's capable of!

Absolutey. **** I don't think anyone would drive my car or call it a street car. But I would. No one "at least I'm not" is discrediting this car. It for sure will be extreme.
