Isn't it that this type of cars are brought into the philippines in pieces and then welded back together? When I was in high school they did this to the Celicas from Japan.

 

Nope. They sold original brand new Evos 4 to 10 here since 1997 even in the showrooms. You just have to look around. Mine is a 2nd hand Evo 5 which I bought from a good friend, and he bought it brand new at Mitsubishi.

The first showroom Evo sold here was the Evo 4.
