hey guys! im new to this forum and also new to Evo world.. coming from a honda guy.. lolz! also, im from calgary, canada.. i just bought myself a '96 Evo IV GSR for winter and i'm the second owner of the car since it landed in calgary last jan. 12, 2012.. car has some mods includes apexi: intake, downpipe and full catback exhaust, hks blow off and boost control. it is currently parked in my garage and planning on doing some maintenance specially with all the fluid change. i have some questions for this.
1. what kind of engine oil do you guys use and what viscosity do you guys run specially for our calgary cold winter?
2. what kind of transmission fluid would work best in my tranny?
3. what kind of gear and rear differential oil can i put in it?
also i found some oil leak dripping from the oil filter when the engine is on but i haven't put it on jack so i don't really know where it is coming from.. Does anybody know if the evo 4 engine has a couple of weak spots that leak more often? i already checked the oil filter and its tight.
sorry if i got so many questions as this kind of car is pretty new to me but thanks in advance for people who can help me out..

Try mlr.org.uk. They have a more thorough experience with your car. But evos are the same. I would use 10w/30 mobil 1 every 3500 miles. Use oem diaqueen for the fluids. Search the forum.

some problems i need help with.
weak brakes. though i was told it needs bleeding.
front chin missing. where can i source this in the philippines?
abs light. sometimes lights. sometimes no light. -was told again in needs bleeding.
some help or insight will be appreciated. thanks.
oh yea. car has run 67,000kms only.
