Change Auto Gear Shifter

AS the subject says, does anyone know how to change and take off the auto gear shifter in a lancer, the screws come off easily but how do u take the actual thing off

Just take out the screws and pull up hard....will just come off.

New or old model, will this technique work with the old model lancer
