Who has used Proton parts?

I just wanted to pick up and run with rexhuntas post on Proton and Hyundai engine codes, and ask if anyone has used Proton parts at all. As many of you know most of the Proton parts are interchangable with Mitsubishi, so I was wondering if anyone has used any, as in REAR DISC brakes. I think you all know where I am going with that.

I am wanting disc brakes on the rear and I also want to save some $$ in doing so, if I could purchase some 2nd hand proton rear disc brakes and fit them it would make life easier.

Yeah I am interested, and I am sure a few guys on here would be as well. Send me an email graemekhughes@hotmail.com

What parts are we looking at? What prices will be charged for each item, I can do all the conversions into Australian dollars if you like.

Yes it is possible, and as far as I know it is fairly straight foward. I am looking around to see what I can do, but if anyone else has any ideas please let us know.

Speaking of used parts, does anyone know where I can get a set of Satria GTi stocko Recaros? They ain't pretty, but they're Recaro and a retrim would do'em wonders.. plus they should bolt straight in. How much do u's reckon a set is worth.

I can get Evolution Recaro seats for a set of front and rear seats you would be looking at $3000. I know it sounds a lot but they are hard to come by, remember Recaros price for 1 replacement front seat is more than I can get the set. They also would NOT need a retrim, and the bolt straight in. They come off new Evolutions so there is no wear, and you have the latest design. Yes before you ask the EVO 7 & 8 seats will also fit your CE Lancer. I am sure that they also fit CC Lancers also.
