Momo Wheel
Momo Wheel
I have a 4 door Lancer with no air bags and I have ordered in a Momo Race Steering Wheel. It arrives within the next few days some time and I just need to know how to install it. I have an Autotecnica Boss Kit and the instructions say to take off the old wheel, install boss kit, then put wheel on and then it says to connect the hub wire to the centre horn button terminal steering wheels with centre pads require a separete earth in addition to the hub wire. Connect a wire from the outer terminal on horn button and place between steerign wheel and hub, This is not necessary on cars with stork horn controls. Do I have to solder anything?

Hey man, you shouldn't have to solder anything, and the Boss kit should come with a metal plate which for "earthing" the wire. This is like on the end of the boss kit.
The problem i had when installing my MOMO, was getting the indicator in corrospondence to the wheel. Heh heh.
Hope it works out for you. When you get it on feels like a new car.....like an EVO...oooohh!

yeah what the sheeit. i had a problem with mine. i couldnt get the old wheel off so i had to use this hardcore pulling device. as for putting it on its just a matter or connecting the new steering wheel, the boss kit and the car.. nothing else is required. i couldnt get my horn working though.. im jst gonna buy a truck horn and get that fitted...
The boss kit came with-
* hub w/wire in it
* screws and allen keys
* horn button
* two wires
* two plates
Acutally now I think I have it worked out.
- I take off the old wheel
- Put the hub on
- Put the plate between the hhub and steering wheel
- Connect the wire in the hub to the middle of the terminal on the horn button
- Connect a wire from the outer terminal on the horn button and put it on the plate terminal
- To easy.
Thanks for helping
