1997 Lancer MR - What do you guys think?

I'm considering purchasing a 1997 Lancer MR for $9990. What do you guys think abt the car in terms of fuel economy and maintenance costs? Also, how does it fare compared to other makes and models?

Would really appreciate any valuable feedback. Thanks a bunch!

mr arn't to bad of a car, obviously not as good as a evo, gsr etc.. but none the less a great car to get around in. Fuel eco shouldn't be bad as injected 4's are normally pretty good its only when you start to play around with injectors. fuel rail, lines etc.. (like i have) that you start to worry about fuel consumption. On the other hand i have a gsr with 4g63 converted into it and now days i have seen gsr's for as low as $9900 there is one at the gold coast (brisbane) for this amount, has 300k though but reco'd not long ago etc.. so they are there, but if you would like a later model car by all means go for it, personally i don't mind the mr shape either. End of the day you drive it, it's up to you

hope it helps
