How much could it cost?
Well my little Lancer CC 92 model has run without a hitch from the day i bought it..... until now.
I bought it witth 197,000 Kms on the dial, and apart from that it looked and ran 100%.
But this morning, the engine kicked the bucket. Got the NRMA guy to have a look and he couldnt even manually crank it... It ceased up pretty good.
Anyway, whats the options?
New Engine?
how much would that cost and what are the options?

hey
for n/a get a old mivec motor from previous lancer/mirages... they are kinda similiar to a b16a motor
for a turbo motor, get a old gsr motor 4g93t,
changin motors means insurance problems..
so u could also sell ur car and get something different, better insurance chance

If I were you I would drop in a 4G92 DOHC Mivec engine. These engines are 130kw and very nice. It is a low maintence nice engine. If you start putting a 4G93 Turbo engine in, I am sure you will run into more insurance problems than with the simple Mivec. I would drop the engine in and enjoy the car for a while longer. Selling it now with a broken engine will get you nothing for the car.
