I personally think for $3700 the Bilsteins and BBS rims are reasonally priced.

... if you like BBS rims
But the VIII MR had Bilsteins and it was supposed to ride better than the normal VIII (which didn't have them) and at the same time give better handling because they were a higher quality damper. That is only going by the tests I have read and a few peoples comments on evolutionm, I haven't tried them myself. The Bilsteins in the IX might be different to the VIII MR though.

The performance pack is 15mm lower and is much stiffer according to my sales "expert".
If I was do do anything to the suspension, I would get ajustable coilovers for less money and more flexibility.

I dont think the Bilsteins lower the suspension. It is lower with stock suspension and the bilsteins just give the "track" option

According to a racer, seller and enthusist Martin at NCM

I just got the latest Motor magazine with a test on the IX and they said the sports handling pack is Bilstein dampers and BBS wheels. The dampers wouldn't lower the car, it would need springs for that. I'm not saying you should get that pack, just letting you know what I heard and read so you can make the best decision for you.

Too exxy for Group 4s Gaz - you're looking at 4K!

I'd just get some half decent coilovers off a vendor on this site.

[QUOTE=robertr]Dont know what the earthing cables do. Magic black box stuff me thinks. I know some are saying it allows for a better spark however I have a hard time believing car manufacturers get this wrong as all it needs is a good strap from engine to body to neg side of the battery.

Provides multiple grounding points, improved idle and drivability are often obtained as the additional grounding points equalize resistance and voltage between various ground points.... Is what they say... Might be all BS... just to make more money. Sounds good though

And I'll already have to sell both kidneys to get the Evo IX.
