NOS is a performance improver, but is only a short term fix as you need to keep refilling the tank. Why not go for engine upgrades? exhaust, filter etc..
If you go for it, make sure the fitters know what they;re doing otherwis its bye bye engine or worse case bye bye lancer.
basically a line runs from the bottle to the engine normally round the throttlebody is where the nozzle is fitted this mixed with fuel into the engine causing increase in power (sorry it isnt full doco info)
as for engine to many shots will kill your engine same with to big a shot
hope it helps

thanx for that man!
ive done all those mild performance up grades, and i dont want to spend that much money on like turboing the car now, its just not worth it!! i just wanted something cheap and fun.
i have a good idea of how the whole system works now...
so you think connecting NOS will shorten the life of my engine??
like, i wouldnt be using it every day.. i would have it disconnected most the time.. it will basically be for play around times...
so i dont know, do you think i'll be ok?? or should i just leave the idea alone??
thanx. amz

this used to be my old installation, the first tank you see is my surge tank with dash 8 lines to 2 550hp bosch pumps, the other was the tank for sep fuel for nos (which was mixed with c16 race fuel
) but the 4g63 i had before had forgies, rods, everything internally and a big turbo, running a 150 shot of nos (for track use) etc.. this is my new boot set-up atm i have another 4g63 which i have done mild mods to atm and not going to run nos so I put a batt where the nos was and got rid of the other tank and some (ricey I know) polished alloy plates since it was bare floor under the pump to access the spare wheel etc..
but as for your car I cant see why a few small shots of nos hurting your engine just over time it will wear it out quicker thats all as it puts a little more strain on the engine (performance wise) depends on what sort of shot, imo i would say only 50hp shot would be what you would want not to much but enough to satisfy

hope it helps
