Who knows how much different the 4G64 is to the 4G93 in the physical sense. Length and width wise that is. Or is the 4G64 just a stroked version of the 4G93???

 

Was hoping someone here would have been able to tell me the differences in these engines. They look so much the same just looking in on the top.

Would like a nice torquey engine for the Lancer then add some boost . Should be an excellent rocket

 

Don't know about rocket. The 4G93 can not be stroked to 2L it can go close 1.94 or something from memory as there is not a lot of room.

 

The 4G64 is completely different to the 4G93. OR did you mean the 4G63 instead? The 4G64 is a stroked version of the 4G63. Its the same thing, except the 64 has a longer stroke. I think you can basically just have to change the 63 crank and rods to the 64 oes, but still can use the 63 pistons. This in turn will make the 4G63 2 litre egine turn into a 4G64 2.4 litre and still keep the same head etc!!! The 2.4 will make more outright power, but the compromise is that it will be more sluggish as wont be as 'punchy'.
