Grrreat. Got the letter in the mail today, here goes:

I've got to take it in soon, the problem they describe is with the brakes- an incorrect part that may not allow the car to brake fully at times, noticeable by flashing abs light or something... My RA doesn't have any of the 'symptoms' mentioned, and may not have the defect... but for free I can have it checked out/fixed, so will do.
If anyone wants details who should have received the letter but didn't - let me know and I'll post the details here

Didn't recieve them (though the post was a LONG while ago), I got a 06 VRX, details please!

 

Probably had the problem rectified by Mits or at the dealership prior to sale. It was nothing major, just where the brake pedal pivots there was some weakness/breakages on other 06 Lancers so they were checking around
