Engine Conversion

I am putting a VR4 RS motor in to my Lancer GSR (4G93T).

Is it true that the engine mount i need to change (left top mount) can be sourced from a nat aspirated lancer? If so which lancer?

Also is any one selling an aftermarket computer?

U mean 4G63T (GSR has 93)? I thought it was a pretty much straight fit?

I'm assuming your talking about the Aust delivered VR4 into a CC GSR (4WD), then it would be a straight bolt on...very common. If its the CB GSR (FWD), it will still bolt straight on as well...but do you enjoy torque steer!

If your not after alot power and don't want to spend too much money, source a E3 turbo...you should be satisfied with that.

Cheers

It is the VR4 galant motor in to CC '93 Lancer GSR. The top left hand engine mount and the CV shaft loop (bolts on the back of the block) need fabrication. The rest of the mounts and crossmember bolt straight up.

From memory it is the a engine mount from a CB Lancer which you need. I know sounds a bit weird, but I am sure that is which one you use.

Thanks for the info Mivec.

Which CB Lancer is it, the GSR (1.6) or the GL.. (1.5)?

And will it bolt straight up to the VR4 engine, and the GSR engine bay?

I think it is the 1.6L GSR, but I will have to double check to be 100% sure. Unfortunately I have not dealt with that stuff in a while, so hopfully I will have a definate answer within the week.
