Will a 4G15 gearbox fit in a 4G92 Engine ?

anyone ?

will a 1.5l gearbox fit on a 1.8 engine?

i wanna know.. as i may have a turbo engine lined up

Yeah Pete the 1.8L is 4G93 there is a 1.6L engine with the engine code 4G92. Anyway the answer to your question is yes. It will not be strong, but yes it will work.

i got the wrong engine code..

its 4G62 sorry !

its got the fuel injected carby and tc06 turbo..
from a cordia..

I have decided to rape parts form it that my fit my lancer like the bucket seats, and if all goes well, the 13inch front discs and the engine and maybe gearbox

If it was a 4G93 I could definitely say that it can be done as I have done it. I fitted a 4G15 box onto a 4G93 1.8L DOHC turbo. All that was needed was a heavy duty clutch, the flywheel has different number of bolts on it (the 1.8 has 7 or 8 i think and the 4G15 only has 5), and the slave cylinder for the clutch had to be replaced as it restricted the intake pipe to the turbo. Simply swapped the slave for one out of an 85 Corolla. All is good.

However, if it is a 4G62, I have been told by RPW that 4G9X boxes do not match 4G6X engines (can't remember the reason), so I am guessing that a 4G15 box would also not match a 4G62 engine.

Hope you can help me on this,
Please which other gearbox I can use on my Mitsubishi Lancer 1.5 4G15 automatic ( full time 4x4)

My original gearbox has problem any recommendations of any other gearbox that can fit?

what fly wheel do i need to work on my 4g93 engine to work with a 4g15 gearbox and what starting motor
