hey, i am looking to pop my airbag as i want to get a racing steering wheel, i was wondering if anyone knew of any places (in the adelaide area if possible) that did this and also a rough estimate of how much this will cost

I actually have a MOMO airbag steering wheel for sale. The only problem is that the airbag is blown, so it will need to be replaced. Its going really cheaply and would be a good choice so that you can keep the aribag and have the racing steering wheel as well.
I do not think you are legaly allowed to put a non air bag wheel into a car that came with one. Check it out before you do anything to drastic.

Me neither. That is why I suggested the blown MOMO steering wheel that I have. I have tried to figure out how much this thing is worth, yet everyone I have asked can only approximate (about $2500). I am willing to sell it to anyone for a much, much, much lower price if anyone is interested. All is needed is to replace the blown airbag. Other than that the wheel is in as new condition. Its worth a thought.

i am pretty interested, how much would you want roughly and maybe you could post some pics? also where abouts in australia are you? i hope we can sort something out because i am pretty keen on this

I was thinking about $350 ish. However, I will look into how much it will cost to replace the airbag (if it can be done), and will get back to you with a more appropriate price. I will take some pics and have them up hopefully by the end of the week.
As for location, I live in Coffs Harbour. I have sold a couple of things over eBay, and the most that they have had to pay for postage is $50.

Took the pictures today. Should have the pictures up for you within the next couple of days. I can post them here or send them to you by email, just let me know. As for a price to replace the airbag, no one here in Coffs Harbour has any idea (which really doesn't surprise me), so I will have to track down a decent Mitsi dealer to get a rough price.
