The next drag night is going to be on the Friday night of November 14. We will be there, I may not necessarily race, but if you're there I will. We have another vehicle fitted with a S/C that we would like to test

Supercharged or Turbo .???

Hi,

I think if you are running with a turbo it will be better because my Lancer 1.8 MR with turbo kit installed can get 400m in 14.0 sec running 0.54 BAR (which is around 7+ psi) ...

Guntur

Could you tell me more about your car?

What size exhaust?
What size tires?
What air filter assembly?
What clutch?

I could benefit from all the above but have at this point chosen not too in order to find what can be got from a standard Lancer with some boost. But we are pleased that we get 14.4 without other mods

Could you please post up your timeslip...........Ta

well if you are asking about the time slip , I can not provide it as it was happened quite long time ago But in this next week I will go again to test out my car. The place is at Heathcote.
I am using
Stock engine 4G93
VF23 turbo
custom extractor
2 3/4 piping and 3"exhaust tip
Exedy daikin 4 port ceramic .
k/n Air Filter
Microtech computer (Don't know if i spell it rite )
2 Bosch fuel pump
bassicaly that's all the setting and also
Sard 550 cc injector ; i know this is quite big but consider I planned to upgrade the engine soon

Rite know the car was tuned with running little bit too rich but dunno about the 1/4 mile if it will improve or not from before...

well... without prove i cannot say much.... so just wait till i got the time slip

anyway... lancer is quite respond to the engine upgrade as my friend got a civic vtir and put a turbo kit from AVO but only got less less power than mine....

Gunter I can appreciate why your car will do a 14 like you say. You have significant upgrades made in key areas which help a lot. With our machine everything is stock at this point, there are just a few additions to help it run well with the S/C.

Your comment about the AVO VTiR being not as quick is interesting. AVO kits are nearly all mean't to be real firecrackers with base increases of 70 - 80%, it is a while since I checked their website tho.

Great to see you heading out for a timeslip Good Stuff

Upgrades

A new timeslip coming soon.

The Lancer is about to get the tuned length 4-1 headers, will post up new dyno figures and quartermile times when I get them.

Should see a handy improvement
