Talking Fitted "High Flowed " Cat today :)

Hey All, fitted a high flow Cat today ( basically a straight through test pipe sorta thing.. if you could call it a cat.. to me its basically another peice of pipe..

I thought, here we go, this is going to make my car louder, so up on the hoist, fitted the cat, and then gave her a go.. no change in noise.. very nice ( i like the sound of my muffler, it doesnt have that honda/hyundai farting noise) more like a nice deep exhaust tone.. a lot of skyline owners love it

So, out we go for a test run, and the top end has changed !
usually around 5 grand the car loses power sorta thing.. but this has improved it heaps ! it keeps pulling until 6500 rpm nicely

I love it

Pete

So let me get this straight, you eliminated your cat, or you actually purchased an aftermarket free flowing cat?

Yes, its basically a test pipe.. there is no difference in sound, and it looks just like a cat from the outside..

My car doesn't have an 02 sensor, so im not sure about that sort of thing.. im running a Carby on my lancer.. so i dont have any computer..

Vespa : not sure, i guess you can't really tell, unless you take my car apart and have a look into it..

Turtle : the americans have the test pipe.. i can find someone with one and ask them how it goes on and all..
