Question Mivec engine conversion... Plz Help!

Will the 6G72 from the 3000GT/GTO fit into the Australian MR Lancer or would the engine bay need extended? Iam really interested in doing this conversion as its a really powerful engine. By the way its a 2003 car with the 1.8 SOHC. Any help would be appreciated. thanxs

Anything is possible if u have the money
You would probably be better off with a 4G63 due to it won't cost as much and there is alot more aftermarket supposrt for it compared to the GTO engine

Cheers

Twin Turboed? If not, I'd go a Mivec 6G72 DOHC. No idea if it would fit though. I'd doubt it but if you relocated stuff and setup the engine mounts to suit, maybe. Might have fun with the bell housing for the transmission. I'd use the FWD version though. Doubt the AWD one would work.

AHAHAHAHA you know how **** your lancer will handle after that??

6G72 will be heavier than a mo fo on the front member.... be prepared to have a drag car but not a road car... plus I hope your grip on your steering wheel is good.... can anyone say torque steer??

The 6G family of engines will not fit.
Instead fit the 6A12 / 6A13 engines from the FTo vehicles which are a direct bolt in.

RPW has the complete conversion kits in stock.
