4g93p

I was at the wreckers the other day and i saw 4G93DOHC head in a wrecked proton m21 and i was just wondering if it would be hard to take it out and swap it onto my SOHC 4G93. They quoted me around $300 for the proton head is it worth it? How much trouble would it be?

I think you'll need a new computer if you were doing the SOHC-DOHC swap, as it runs different cams and stuff.. i guess the best people to ask would be www.rpw.com.au as they did a bit of research on doing things like that.. other then that, i don't think anyone here has done the head swaps yet.. so your the guinea pig best of luck !

Remember to keep us posted if you do it

I've done the dohc swap on a 4g15 - well worth it! If you can get it to fit then do it!! I dont run any computer mods (yet) It just bolted right on (well with a little work, new water housings.).
