What a new manifold, ceramic coating and polishing does
What a new manifold, ceramic coating and polishing does
I got a peak gain of 23kw, and an overall average of 10-15kw gain over the entire curve.
This baby ROCKS!
Dynocharts will go up tomorrow, if I can fix the fact that the "before" run is extremely faint. (Hard to see even on the original!)

Bit of a rort actually.
The manifold cost $900
The removal, polishing and coating cost $1300
The tuning cost $900 - but get this, they could only tune the ignition, due to a bit of an unusual set up in my car, but they charged me the whole lot because "it wasn't their fault" (Despite the fact they took the initiative to spend 5 hours labour and 3 hours dyno time before deciding they couldn't do it - they should have known *LONG* before that, that something wasn't going right)
I've had cars tuned for both ignition and timing for $300, and computers supplied, fitted and tuned for $1000!

I tried to argue with them, they wouldn't have a bar of it.
I don't want to get vindictive, and so I'm not going to smear their name all over the place. I'll be honest - the job they did do was brilliant. But if they find this an acceptable and honourable way of doing business, I want people to know this BEFORE they accept a verbal quote from them.
In the past example, the guy who fitted and tuned my computer for $1000 spent about 3 full days on it - he made a loss! But it was worth his reputation and integrity to honour his quote. I offered him the chance to just cancel without penalty, but to him, it was worth it to show he could and to meet his agreement.
So, let's not turn this into an MRT smear campaign, but let it be known that they charge for failures, not just for results
