Gsr

i was just wondering if there are ce gsr's. im guessing there are but my friend told me that mistubishi didnt make a gsr in the 2000 model. and when i typed in 2000 gsr into yahoo nothing really came up..there is one in ballarat but not sure if its fake cause they are pretty young so dunno if they could afford it...but then the other day i saw a lady in her 30's driving one in deer park and i was thinking why would a old lady have a fake one. so im thinking that they did make em in 2000.

Thats crap, tenji. Sorry.

There ARE CE GSRs, they were sold in NZ and in Japan. 150kW 1.8 litre, 4wd. Made from 96 to 98. I don't know if they made them in the series between CE and Cedia.

There was one for sale (silver, with gold wheels) in Unique Cars a few months ago, an NZ personal import.

In answer to your question skipano, no, there were no turbo Lancers sold in Oz after the CC GSR until the Evo 6. There were just the woefully inadequate Lancer MRs - a base model with a fugly bodykit.

Yep that is true. You can get parts from these cars from Japan. I know of a few cars in Perth who have slowly been building these cars from parts in Japan, and replacing their 98 CE Lancers.

Let the Truth be told, the new EVO VIII that is coming in is techincally a GSR spec - but this has been twisted to really mean a nicer and better appointed car than the RS.

I've never seen a CE with a GSR sticker. Certainly Mitsubishi have never put GSR on a non-turbo Lancer (except for the old CB series). Any GSR stickers on CE's must have been put on by the owners, for unknown reasons.
