Hey ya guys,

I remember reading a while back that the Evo had water injection. IS this true or not?

I can't seem to find anything that goes against or for this at the moment.

Mine does but I'm in the U.S.. If you have a button below your' shifer that is like a toggle switch it says auto and manual you do. That's how to turn it on. Plus when on there is a light on that dash that comes on.

Thanks for that, but unfortuanelty waht you have there is an Intercooler Water Spray. A fine mist on water that is sprayed over the IC to create higher evaporation and therefore lower intake temps.

A quick question on the Evo IC Spray. What is the differnece between manual and auto?
I take it that Manual means while it is down it is spraying. Good for while at the lights on hot days. I take it that auto sprays while driving when the intake temps ot boost gets to a certain level? Do you know what measurements this works on?

And yep our Aussie Evos will have IC water sprays.

Water Injection is direct injection of water/alcahol into the piston chamber. Once again giving a lot more space for tuning as it prevents detonation. There wouldn't be a button for this in the cabin as this is controlled by an ecu.

I misread your' question. Sorry. No water injection. Yes water spray/squirter.

Manual as you said sprays while pushed down and auto sprays when the computer says too. I think it's based on time but I'm not 100% sure.

 

No the Evo does not have alcohol/water injection kits. However you can put one on no problem...
